Power Within 04:58
Cast away from the flock And thrown to the ground With nothing to sow And left with no sound There's no turning back from destiny's light So stand up and fight 'cause you got the right! No where to run, no where to hide Power within! Power within, walk with a grin Show the damn world the strength of your skin Power within, where have you been? We have waited for you to arise! You've been pushed off the edge And fell into hell But falling up high You're beginning to fly There's no turning back from destiny's light So stand up and fight 'cause you got the right! No where to run, no where to hide Power within! Power within, walk with a grin Show the damn world the strength of your skin Power within, where have you been? We have waited for you to arise!

The castle's built on a mountain's peak We had stars in mind It was your heart I seek When the days felt bleak Star-crossed lovers, climbing so high We've thought as one for far too long We've lost our way and now Your soul is gone A lyin' smile to show, that I'm alright The urge to embrace you, is losing my sight Dying in the past Live for the future Hearts turn to glass (You) No longer a ruler
4.
Gods of War 04:44
Better to fight for something Than live for nothing No one can ever pretend Only the dead can see the end The legions form in masses While the soldier stands still A soldier's greatest weapon Not his steel but his will (Rise) Gods of war! For the ones that have fallen We sing this for you The ones that survive Keep on living through! (Rise) Gods of war! Only the dead have seen the end You fight with all you can Courage begins its forming Horrors of war are calling (Rise) Gods of war!

Life on the run Unholy son Your time has come The right hand of doom Writing its fate The blade shall be yours The end has begun Find your way home The rightful son No more dread Of what's to come The battle is done Born of evil, chained to the coffin Lived my life escapin' fate, it's been callin' A man of many fates; the evil, she can't wait Lord of crones, reluctant to their throne The queen's army rises in bays of blood A task he cannot avoid He stands in the chains of the brooding He silenced the voices that deafen him
6.
Locked away from the warmth It's so cold out here Empty words fill my mind Telling me there's nothing to fear After all the times I've tried To gather the broken shards And fix them anew You break them apart Don't you see, my heart cried out for you It's so hard for me to watch myself lose Pacing back and forth I've been here before The circle is turning To the time my heart tore Beauty's a beast inside It's a curse that cannot heal Here we go again To the pain that I feel Don't you see, my heart cried out for you It's so hard for me to watch myself lose When the tears fall like rain Washing away the pain When the tears fall like rain Feel my soul, love's in vain What's gone is gone Not giving up, just letting go Looking on to the new dawn Time, it moves so slow A comforting warmth of sunshine The night's at an end I thought you were mine My heart's begun to mend Don't you see, my heart cried out for you It's so hard for me to watch myself lose When the tears fall like rain Washing away the pain When the tears fall like rain Feel my soul, love's in vain

about

Trapmaker's 2nd EP, a closer approach to the NWOTHM scene and also a hail to the German metal gods, Accept, Helloween, and Running Wild.

"Awakening" is an acoustic/classical introduction as the "Power Within" explodes into a fast pace speed metal jam.

It is then followed by the single, "No Longer a Ruler", a rock shuffle that combines the melodic guitars of UFO and Iron Maiden and the power of Accept.

"Gods of War" continues the power as it is a definite throwback of slow, strong 80's metal anthems to break your neck with.

"Life on the Run" is a machine gunner that was inspired by works from Running Wild, which takes the listener into a story of about a beloved superhero.

Lastly, the album is closed by "When the Tears Fall", a somber power ballad that is reminiscent of Scorpions and Dokken.

The last two songs are bonus tracks, which are "unreleased" demos from 2016 written for this project.
